Lactation
Hi, I’m Brooke! I am a native Oregonian that grew up on the rainy side of the mountains and moved my way through the valley until I began pursuing Human Development at Oregon State University. After falling in love with Maternal-Child Health, I focused my education on breastfeeding and lactation. I went on to complete a program in Human Lactation and have been deep-diving since!
Brooke Borgognoni, BS, IBCLC
Owner of Nourish Lactation
I have worked with breastfeeding families since 2012 and as a Lactation Consultant since 2014 and have been incredibly fortunate work in the Family Birth Center of a hospital, in private practice, and alongside pediatricians at two clinics.
I have education and training in infant assessments and tongue tie (ankyloglossia), oral function and comprehensive care, and hold a certification in postpartum mental health.
I have so much passion for this work. My approach is to come from a place of knowing there is a whole baby connected to that tiny mouth and a whole parent connected to that breast and bottle. Feeding your baby can be a very confusing job! Having trusted humans on your healthcare team can make an incredible difference.
At home I have two awesome kids and a big giant dog that are teaching me as much as I am teaching them. When I am not reading lactation research or children's books I thoroughly enjoy brain-science podcasts, hiking trails, basketball games, and drinking coffee “for the antioxidants".
