Lactation
After growing up in Southeast Alaska and obtaining a graduate degree in nursing in Washington, I moved to Bend in 2014 seeking community. I have worked in Central Oregon as both a nurse in labor, delivery and postpartum, and as a Lactation Consultant.
I became a nurse in 2010 and have over a decade of experience in hospital-based Maternal Child Health. Since becoming an IBCLC in 2016, I combine clinical knowledge with care and intention when working with families.
I love to help parents successfully feed their babies and I am skilled in helping mothers through breastfeeding challenges and successes. I also have a special place in my heart for NICU families. By advocating for breastfeeding in the NICU, we can help to promote better outcomes for infants and support families during a challenging time. This involves addressing any barriers that are faced, such as medical concerns or emotional stress, and offering resources that foster a successful breastfeeding experience.

My husband and I are constantly in awe of our joyful, brave daughter and her "brother", a rescue pup who deserves to have a book written about him. I thrive on learning, adventure, and village-building. Mothering my daughter, born in 2018, gives me endless inspiration and passion for the work I do.
I am currently seeing patients at Nourish Lactation on a PRN (as needed) basis. This means I am not regularly scheduled, so you may find me here, at St. Charles, or even in the NICU from time to time. Parenthood is a journey, and it is an honor to help you navigate how to best nourish your child.
